Journeyman Electrician

You will construct electrical, instrumentation and control systems in water and wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations, and associated facilities.

 

Duties:

  • Working as a lead or subordinate journeyman, as circumstances & projects require.

  • Supervising a team of employees, subcontractor and/or labor pool personnel in accordance with company policies and requirements.

  • Maintain work schedules and report logs and daily journals of project activities.

  • Hands-on electrical construction of electrical, instrumentation and control systems in water and wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations, and associated facilities.

  • Run conduit, wiring, hook-up disconnects, switches, push buttons, circuit panels, breakers, suppressors, transformers, and wire terminations.

  • Install, maintain, test, evaluate, and repair various electrical components and systems including medium/high voltage automation systems and motor control circuits.

  • Coordination with Project Managers, Estimators, and Company Electrical Superintendent for the completion of projects.

  • Plans new or modified installations with blueprints and job orders consistent with specifications and local electrical codes.

 

Requirements: 

  • 5 years of industrial or commercial electrician experience

  • .Texas licensed master electrician license

  • Valid Texas Driver’s License and safe driving record

  • Weekly travel – typical four-ten-hour workdays; overnight stays at project site; home on Friday and weekends.

  • Professional individuals and high ethical standards

  • Experience with all types of equipment including trenchers, backhoes, excavators, and lifts.

  • Experienced climbers for installing equipment on elevated water towers and antenna towers.
     

Plus:

  • Instrumentation and controls background.

  • Water tower and antenna tower climbing to a height of up to 200’.
